The System

Controlled feed into underdeck carousels

Each spooler comprises a deck foundation, a rack-and-pinion traverse carriage and a product guide chute, and is supplied one per carousel as part of the underdeck carousel package.

The spooler lays product into the carousel basket in a controlled, repeatable pattern. Its control is integrated with the carousel PLC, so traverse position, carousel rotation and product feed stay synchronised in real time.

  • Traverses 5,700 mm across an 8,500 mm hatch opening reference
  • Guide chute with LUC rollers carries product through a controlled bend
  • Chute geometry absorbs slack on emergency stop or stoppage
  • Traversing gearmotor with E-chain energy management for power and control
